An example of the envisioned networks in when fiber is utilized between a central office(CO) and optical network units(ONUs) and coax distribution and drop cable is utilized to connect ONUs to subscribers Coaxial drop cables are mainly applied in transmitting digital, signal of television or computer in public network which is multifunctional and has wide frequency range.The working frequency range of such cables is from 1MHz to 3,000MHz.

Gas expanded polyethylene dielectric
Inner shield aluminum-polypropylene-aluminum laminated tape with overlap bonded to dielectric.
Outer shield of 34 AWG bare aluminum braid wire.
Jacket of black polyvinylchloride or polyethylene(flooded).
